Driving with Alta

A warm hearted, humorous and affecting study of the unlikely relationship between an aging, crotchety white Southern lady, and a proud, soft-spoken black man.

Though  neither cares for the  other at the beginning, slowly and steadily the dignified, good-natured Hoke, played by Bruce Martin,  breaks down the stern defenses of the ornery old lady, portrayed by Alta Moseley,  as she teaches him to read and write.  Justin Dudkiewicz also joins the cast.  This long time favorite was a Winner of the 1988 Pulitzer Prize,t he Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off—Broadway Play, and an Academy Award–winning film.

 Shows are February 20, 21, 26, 27, & 28 at 7:30 PM and February 22 and March 1, 2015, at 2:00 PM.
